The Numbers are In

According to February's Westchester Magazine, the Edgemont School spends $24,052 per student.  This places Edgemont lower than most schools in Westchester, coming in at 15th.  Yet, Edgemont comes in third on avergage SAT scores.

Familiar Faces @ Edgemont

Here are two faces everyone knows and loves; John Gennnaro, owner of the infamous and beloved Gennnaro's Pizza and Pasta, and Ray Krasniqi. Gennnaro's has been a fixture in our community for 30 years.
John not only runs a business here, but for 15 years he made time to be one of the crossing guards for the Greenville School.  Gennaro's continues to supply the Edgemont Elementary Schools with pizzas every Friday.

Edgemont loves Gennaro's. Remember to support our local businesses.

Little Known Facts @ Edgemont

For a number of years I've been wondering about the street sign on the corner of Central Park Avenue and Old Army Road. The sign reads Kreiness Corner. I thought it may have been the name of a farm that was on this location many years ago.
I found out from the Greenburgh historian, Frank Jazzo, that the corner was named in the memory of David Kreiness.
Mr. Kreiness served as a director, 2nd vice-president and president of the Edgemont Community Council, and served in a number of positions  in the Greenburgh Civic Association. He lived in Edgemont for 29 years.
